Append formatted HTML text to a Word paragraph

Use jetformat word html to append formatted HTML text to a Word paragraph.

This command supports a short formatted run such as bold or italic text. It is not a browser renderer or a converter for a complete HTML page.

Steps

  1. Start with a local DOCX. Replace the sample paths and identifiers with your own.
  2. Run the command below. Save to a new output path so the source remains available for comparison.
  3. Check the result as described below before using it in another job.
jetformat word html report.docx --paragraph 1 --html '<b>Reviewed</b>' -o reviewed.docx

Options for this task

--output Output DOCX path (required)
--paragraph 1-based paragraph number (default 1)

Check the result

Extract text to confirm the content, then inspect a PDF preview to verify inline formatting.

Notes and limits

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

The examples keep the original file. Add --force only when you intend to overwrite an existing output. Run jetformat word html --help to compare options with your installed version.
