Choose one contiguous range such as 2-5, 1-last, or all. This is different from pdf render, which accepts a comma-separated selection for image previews.
Steps
- Start with a local PDF. Replace the sample paths and identifiers with your own.
- Run the command below. Save to a new output path so the source remains available for comparison.
- Check the result as described below before using it in another job.
jetformat pdf extract book.pdf --pages 2-5 -o chapter.pdfOptions for this task

Check the result
Run pdf info on the extracted PDF and compare its page count and first page with the requested range.
Notes and limits
This operation uses page-based credits. Review the billing guide before processing a large document.
The examples keep the original file. Add --force only when you intend to overwrite an existing output. Run jetformat pdf extract --help to compare options with your installed version.
