Convert an EMF vector image to PNG

Use jetformat emf to-png to convert an EMF vector image to PNG.

By Jetformat

Render a standalone EMF asset when a workflow needs a bitmap preview. This is an image conversion rather than a screenshot of its surrounding Office page.

Steps

  1. Start with a local EMF image. Replace the sample paths and identifiers with your own.
  2. Run the command below. Read the returned data before choosing a follow-up edit.
  3. Check the result as described below before using it in another job.
jetformat emf to-png diagram.emf

Options for this task

Option Meaning
--output Output PNG path; file input defaults to the same basename, stdin writes to stdout

Check the result

Open the PNG and check line work, labels, and image dimensions against the source diagram.

Notes and limits

This is a free utility or read operation. It does not need a paid conversion to inspect the result.

The examples keep the original file. Add --force only when you intend to overwrite an existing output. Run jetformat emf to-png --help to compare options with your installed version.

See the emf command reference for the surrounding workflow.
