Decide what success means
Inspect the annotation in the recipient’s viewer and confirm its target. An annotation does not alter the meaning of the original page or remove the marked material.
Prepare and run
Select the page and coordinates from the current document. A region measured in a screenshot can be wrong if the screenshot uses a different scale or rotation.
These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf annotate --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.
jetformat pdf annotate book.pdf --page 1 --x 72 --y 72 --width 120 --height 40 -o ann.pdf
Choose a page and rectangle coordinates. An annotation marks a region; it does not change the underlying words or remove sensitive content.
Inspect the saved result
Render the annotated page and open it in the recipient’s viewer to check placement and appearance.
Scope and repeatability
This operation uses page-based credits. Review the billing guide before processing a large document.
Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.
See the pdf annotate options and examples for the command reference. Browse related pdf commands when the next step requires a different operation.
