Add a presenter cue to a PowerPoint slide

A recurring presentation may need a short presenter cue stored outside visible slide text. Speaker notes are useful for that private presentation context.

Prepare the input

Choose the slide and review any existing notes before writing. Keep the cue concise and avoid placing secrets in a file that may later be shared.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat ppt set-notes --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat ppt set-notes board-deck.pptx --page 1 --text 'speak now' -o board-deck-updated.pptx

Supply the 1-based slide number and the complete note text you want to store. Notes support the presenter and do not add visible slide text.

Review before the next step

Read the notes back and inspect the slide separately. Updating presenter notes does not add visible content to the slide or establish who can access the PPTX.

Run ppt notes on the output and compare the note at the selected slide.

Keep the workflow repeatable

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the ppt set-notes options and examples for the command reference. Browse related ppt commands when the next step requires a different operation.
