Add a logo to a DOCX report from the terminal

A report assembled by a script may need a company logo anchored near its opening paragraph. Start with an existing report and a local image asset.

Prepare the input

Confirm the paragraph index against the source document before inserting the image. A later edit that adds an opening paragraph can move the intended anchor.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat word add-image --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat word add-image report.docx --paragraph 1 --image logo.png -o report-updated.docx

Use an existing DOCX and a local PNG or JPEG. The image is inserted inline, so its position follows the paragraph rather than floating independently over the page.

Review before the next step

Check the logo’s aspect ratio and its distance from surrounding text in the saved DOCX. A successful insertion does not establish that the image fits the printable area.

Convert the edited DOCX to PDF and check the image position, proportions, and surrounding line breaks.

Keep the workflow repeatable

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the word add-image options and examples for the command reference. Browse related word commands when the next step requires a different operation.
