Reveal a hidden Excel row before an audit

An audit can require reviewing supporting rows that were hidden for presentation. Restoring a known row makes that information available in the workbook view.

Prepare the input

Identify the row from the current workbook and keep the original file. Row positions may differ from an earlier PDF or spreadsheet screenshot.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat excel unhide-row --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat excel unhide-row finance.xlsx --sheet Summary --row 2 -o visible.xlsx

Choose the existing 1-based row number. This restores a hidden row’s visibility without inserting a new row.

Review before the next step

Check the restored row in context and compare it with any related totals. Unhiding reveals existing data; it does not explain why the row was excluded from a prior report.

Open the saved worksheet and confirm the row is visible with the original values.

Keep the workflow repeatable

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the excel unhide-row options and examples for the command reference. Browse related excel commands when the next step requires a different operation.
