Read review comments before approving a DOCX

A draft can look complete while still containing unresolved reviewer comments. Extracting comments gives an approval script a concrete inventory to review.

Prepare the input

Take the inventory before running any cleanup command. Keep comment identifiers with review decisions so a later deletion targets the intended note.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat word comments --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat word comments contract.docx

Use this read operation to collect review feedback before editing. Comment identifiers are useful when deleting one comment; they are not paragraph positions.

Review before the next step

Read the comments alongside the document rather than treating their count as approval status. A comment’s presence does not tell you whether its issue was resolved.

Keep the reported IDs with the text so a later remove-comment operation targets the intended feedback.

Keep the workflow repeatable

This is a free utility or read operation. It does not need a paid conversion to inspect the result.

Run jetformat word comments --help to compare options with your installed version.

See the word command reference for the surrounding workflow.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the word comments options and examples for the command reference. Browse related word commands when the next step requires a different operation.
