Decide what success means
Open the output, locate the marker, and check the attachment inventory. Pinning a file does not display its entire contents on the page or make every viewer expose it.
Prepare and run
Choose the supporting file and page deliberately. Review whether the intended viewer supports attachment annotations before relying on them for an essential handoff.
These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf pin --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.
jetformat pdf pin book.pdf --file notes.txt --page 1 -o pinned.pdf
A pinned attachment is a page annotation, different from embedding a file only in the catalog. Choose the page where the supporting file should be discoverable.
Inspect the saved result
Open the saved PDF in a viewer supporting attachment annotations and verify the file can be accessed there.
Scope and repeatability
This operation uses page-based credits. Review the billing guide before processing a large document.
Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.
See the pdf pin options and examples for the command reference. Browse related pdf commands when the next step requires a different operation.
