Decide what success means
Map your formatting intention to an existing style and test one paragraph. A style list does not tell you whether every paragraph already uses the intended style.
Prepare and run
Read the style identifiers from the actual input file. Similar visible labels across two templates do not guarantee identical underlying identifiers.
These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat word styles --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.
jetformat word styles contract.docx
Read available styles before applying one to a paragraph. This returns the IDs used by word style as well as their display names.
Inspect the saved result
Choose an existing style ID from the output instead of guessing it from the text shown in Word.
Scope and repeatability
This is a free utility or read operation. It does not need a paid conversion to inspect the result.
Run jetformat word styles --help to compare options with your installed version.
See the word command reference for the surrounding workflow.
Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.
See the word styles options and examples for the command reference. Browse related word commands when the next step requires a different operation.
