List PDF attachments before external sharing

A PDF can include attached files that are not visible in its page images. Listing attachments helps a reviewer understand what will travel with the document.

Prepare the input

Inspect the actual file intended for distribution. A rendered preview may show the pages correctly while leaving embedded attachments unexamined.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf attachments --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat pdf attachments attached.pdf

Check attachments when reviewing a document package. A PDF can contain embedded files that are not visible in the page rendering.

Review before the next step

Compare the attachment inventory with the sharing requirements. The list is a review aid, not a malware scan or proof that attachment contents are safe.

Review the reported file names before sharing; a visual page check alone does not audit attachments.

Keep the workflow repeatable

This is a free utility or read operation. It does not need a paid conversion to inspect the result.

Run jetformat pdf attachments --help to compare options with your installed version.

See the pdf command reference for the surrounding workflow.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the pdf attachments options and examples for the command reference. Browse related pdf commands when the next step requires a different operation.
