Inspect the exact PDF showing the problem and retain a screenshot of the affected page. Comparing two different exports can obscure the source of a font issue.

A focused terminal workflow

Inspect font usage when a rendered result has missing glyphs or unexpected text appearance. A font inventory is a useful diagnostic, not a visual quality score.

Acceptance checks

Use the inventory alongside visual inspection and text extraction. A font name in the file is not a guarantee that all glyphs render or map to text correctly.

Compare reported fonts with the intended document fonts and inspect a page containing the affected characters.

Before repeating the operation

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf fonts --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

This is a free utility or read operation. It does not need a paid conversion to inspect the result.

Run jetformat pdf fonts --help to compare options with your installed version.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.
