Generate a first-page PDF preview for triage

A document inbox can use a first-page preview to help a person identify each file. Rendering a selected page creates a visual aid without treating text extraction as a screenshot.

Prepare the input

Choose an output width appropriate for the review interface and use a dedicated destination. Keep the original PDF linked to the preview in your job record.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf render --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat pdf render board-deck.pdf --pages 1 --width 1600 -o preview

Render selected pages for visual review. --pages accepts selections such as 1,3-5,last, while --width controls the output image width.

Review before the next step

Check that the preview corresponds to the intended page. A single thumbnail cannot establish the quality or completeness of the remaining document.

Open the generated page images; a successful conversion command alone does not prove that fonts and layout look right.

Keep the workflow repeatable

This operation uses page-based credits. Review the billing guide before processing a large document.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the pdf render options and examples for the command reference. Browse related pdf commands when the next step requires a different operation.
