Extend a presentation with an additional slide

A recurring presentation may need an extra slide while preserving the existing deck. Adding a slide provides a starting point for subsequent content edits.

Inspect the source deck’s layouts and size before extending it. Decide where the new content belongs in the final presentation order.

A focused terminal workflow

jetformat ppt add-slide board-deck.pptx -o board-deck-updated.pptx

This adds a slide to an existing presentation. It does not create a new PPTX from nothing or populate a slide from a prose prompt.

Acceptance checks

Inspect the saved slide count and review the added slide. A newly added slide is not automatically a complete or presentation-ready page.

Inspect the output slide count before adding text, images, or notes to the new slide.

Before repeating the operation

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat ppt add-slide --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the ppt add-slide options and examples for the command reference. Browse related ppt commands when the next step requires a different operation.
