Drop a temporary sheet before workbook delivery

A workbook may contain a temporary analysis tab that should not be included in a delivery copy. Removing that tab is more definitive than hiding it.

Prepare the input

Inspect all sheet names and check formulas that refer to the temporary tab. Preserve the original workbook so the working analysis remains recoverable.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat excel remove-sheet --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Run the command

jetformat excel remove-sheet finance.xlsx --sheet Extra -o finance-updated.xlsx

Confirm the sheet name before writing a new workbook. Deleting a sheet can affect formulas and names in other sheets.

Review before the next step

Open the saved output and review the remaining tabs and key calculations. Removing a sheet can affect references even when the file saves successfully.

Inspect the output sheet list and review cross-sheet formulas before replacing the original workbook.

Keep the workflow repeatable

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the excel remove-sheet options and examples for the command reference. Browse related excel commands when the next step requires a different operation.
