Combine report PDFs in a deliberate delivery order

A customer handoff can contain a cover, a report, and an appendix as separate PDFs. Merging makes one deliverable while preserving an explicit input order.

List files in the exact sequence you want readers to encounter. Shell wildcard order may differ from the business order implied by document titles.

A focused terminal workflow

jetformat pdf merge a.pdf b.pdf -o book.pdf

List PDFs in the order recipients should read them. Merging rendered documents preserves a page-oriented workflow without returning to editable Office sources.

Acceptance checks

Inspect the first and last page of each segment in the merged output. Page count is helpful, but it does not confirm that every input was assembled in the right order.

Run pdf info on each input and the result, then review the pages at file boundaries.

Before repeating the operation

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf merge --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

This operation uses page-based credits. Review the billing guide before processing a large document.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the pdf merge options and examples for the command reference. Browse related pdf commands when the next step requires a different operation.
