Check slide dimensions before preparing previews

Preview dimensions and screen layout depend on the source presentation's slide size. Inspecting it avoids assuming every deck uses the same aspect ratio.

Read dimensions before combining decks or selecting preview framing. A familiar-looking first slide can still use a different underlying canvas.

A focused terminal workflow

jetformat ppt slide-size board-deck.pptx

The command reports slide size in EMUs, the Office drawing coordinate unit. Keep units explicit before using the result in another layout tool.

Acceptance checks

Compare the reported size with the intended output format. Slide-size inspection does not resize the deck or prove that every shape sits inside its boundaries.

Compare width and height to determine orientation and aspect ratio instead of treating EMU values as pixels.

Before repeating the operation

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat ppt slide-size --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

This is a free utility or read operation. It does not need a paid conversion to inspect the result.

Run jetformat ppt slide-size --help to compare options with your installed version.

See the ppt command reference for the surrounding workflow.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the ppt slide-size options and examples for the command reference. Browse related ppt commands when the next step requires a different operation.
