Compare the current inventory with the names expected by your report process. Pay attention to the actual references, not only familiar-looking labels.

A focused terminal workflow

Named ranges make formulas readable but can point somewhere unexpected after workbook edits. List names before adding or removing one.

Acceptance checks

Investigate names that point to unexpected sheets or cells. A name’s existence is not evidence that its destination still holds the intended measure.

Compare the references against current sheet names and ranges, especially after renaming or deleting sheets.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.
