Append a row to a reporting worksheet

An existing worksheet may need room for another record at the end of its data. Appending a row is useful when the workbook structure is already established.

Decide what success means

Open the saved workbook and confirm where the row appeared. Review formulas and totals near the insertion point before filling the new record.

Prepare and run

Identify the worksheet and check where its meaningful data ends. Formatting or auxiliary cells can make a sheet larger than its visible table.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat excel add-row --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

jetformat excel add-row finance.xlsx --sheet Summary -o finance-updated.xlsx

This adds a row at the end of a worksheet. Use insert-row when you need a blank row before an existing row number.

Inspect the saved result

Inspect the saved worksheet range and read the final rows before writing additional values.

Scope and repeatability

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the excel add-row options and examples for the command reference. Browse related excel commands when the next step requires a different operation.
