Keep the note in a quoted shell argument. Apostrophes and line breaks need shell quoting independently of DOCX formatting.
A focused terminal workflow
jetformat word add-paragraph report.docx --text 'next line' -o report-updated.docx
This appends text to the end of an existing document. It does not create a DOCX from scratch or place a paragraph at an arbitrary cursor position.
Acceptance checks
Extract the resulting text and confirm the note appears once, in the expected position. Repeating the command against its own output can append the note again.
Extract text from the output and confirm the new paragraph appears at the end.
Before repeating the operation
These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat word add-paragraph --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.
Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.
Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.
See the word add-paragraph options and examples for the command reference. Browse related word commands when the next step requires a different operation.
