Add a small reference table to a DOCX report

A deployment report may need a compact reference table containing names and values. An actual table gives downstream readers more structure than aligned spaces.

Decide what success means

Inspect cell boundaries and wrapping with the longest expected value. Do not infer column widths from a short two-word example.

Prepare and run

Prepare the row values before running the command. Commas separate values in the simple example, so review how your intended values map into cells.

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat word add-table --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

jetformat word add-table report.docx --row Alpha,Beta -o report-updated.docx

Each --row supplies comma-separated cells. Prepare a consistent number of cells per row; use this for a small structured table rather than importing an entire workbook.

Inspect the saved result

Read the output with word tables and compare the row and column values.

Scope and repeatability

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the word add-table options and examples for the command reference. Browse related word commands when the next step requires a different operation.
