Add a simple freehand-style mark to a PDF

A scripted review can add a mark described by a sequence of points. An ink annotation keeps that mark separate from ordinary page text.

Prepare coordinates for the intended page and inspect how the point sequence connects. A small sample helps reveal a mistaken coordinate scale.

A focused terminal workflow

jetformat pdf ink book.pdf --page 1 --points 10,10,80,40,120,20 -o ink.pdf

Provide a sequence of coordinate pairs for a path on a chosen page. This is a visual annotation rather than a cryptographic signature.

Acceptance checks

Open the output and inspect the stroke. An ink mark is not a cryptographic signature and should not be presented as proof of authorization.

Render the page and inspect the connected path before distributing the annotated file.

Before repeating the operation

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat pdf ink --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

This operation uses page-based credits. Review the billing guide before processing a large document.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the pdf ink options and examples for the command reference. Browse related pdf commands when the next step requires a different operation.
