Add a review label to a Word document header

An internal report can use a header label to show its review stage. Updating the header keeps that label outside ordinary body paragraphs.

Work on a copy and inspect the report’s section structure. First-page and linked headers can make a multi-section document behave differently from a simple example.

A focused terminal workflow

jetformat word header report.docx --text Confidential -o report-updated.docx

The command appends a header part. Use a copy when changing an existing report with multiple sections, because header relationships affect what appears on each page.

Acceptance checks

Review the first page and at least one page in each section. A label visible on one page does not prove all intended header variants changed.

Run word headers on the output and inspect a PDF preview of pages from each section.

Before repeating the operation

These examples use local sample filenames. Substitute your own paths and check jetformat word header --help against the installed version before running the task. Put paths containing spaces inside quotes.

Writing an Office document uses one credit per command. See the billing guide for the current rules.

Keep the input revision with the result so a later reviewer can reproduce the decision. For a write operation, choose a new output path first; use overwrite flags only when replacing a previously reviewed result is intentional.

See the word header options and examples for the command reference. Browse related word commands when the next step requires a different operation.
